There's quite an insightful piece in a recent edition of the Independent about the psychology of climate change procrastination. While I am happy with the analysis the conclusion that achieving "the right degree of scared" is the route to take is more problematic. Sure, it's part of what needs to be done to energise individuals to act appropriately but what goes before makes me concerned that it just ain't enough. Ultimately this piece adds to the case for governments to lead, and indeed legislate, because otherwise change will just be far too slow.
