Jaguar - Electric Only by 2025

Cars sporting the Jaguar mark should be electric only from 2025 according to an announcement from JLR CEO Thierry Bollore. However, Land Rover won't cease delivery of internal combustion engined cars in the UK until 2030, the date set by the UK government for a full phase out. And global production of such vehicles will not cease until 2036. It takes time to re-engineer production on this scale but a lag of 15 years from today does suggest something of a lack of urgency. Every fossil fueled vehicle that can be kept off the roads just makes combating climate change that little bit easier. Could JLR not accelerate things just a bit?
