Not so long ago I wrote a short post about CDP's A-list of cities taking action to tackle climate change. One of the featured cities was Manchester which has now published a 5-year action plan aimed at halving CO2 emissions by 2025.
This is a big ask but the city has great credentials in this arena and each of its headline projects looks to be doable, given the political and financial will. So, I say "Go for it, Manchester" and to all other councils in the UK "Why can't you follow suit?"
